Molecular Pathologist

The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking a Molecular Pathologist to work in a large academic group practice ideal candidate will have experience in advanced molecular diagnostics including next-generation sequencing and genomic DNA methylation profiling for candidate will also have experience in development & validation of LDTs implementing and monitoring QA & QC and interpretationof laboratory results in a clinical(hospital/ in-patient and clinics/ outpatient) candidate will share responsibilities in lab management and participate in research and departmental educational programs. Preferences will be given to candidates who have at least two or more years experience post-ABMGG fellowship and those who have worked in a high-complexity clinical molecular laboratory.

All Surgical and Clinical pathologists have subspecialty expertise and participate in scholarly activities through research and education. The new faculty member will work closely with our multi-disciplinary teams of physicians from surgical oncology medical oncology neurosurgeons transplant and translational researchers to develop molecular panels and testing for different neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases. The position includes an academic appointment with the College of Medicine Mayo Clinic.

Candidates with an MD and board certification in Anatomic Pathology Clinical Pathology or AP/CP are required. The candidate will have either completed or be in the process of completing an ABMGG-accredited molecular fellowship. A track record of academic productivity including programmatic multidisciplinary research is preferred.
