Principal Engineer, Tooling

Job Description:
This position is mainly responsible for plastics mold modification and related dimensional data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ESI / DFM evaluation of plastics molds
• Perform dimensional data analysis for mold modification
• Follow up and assess dimensional measurement methods (data reliability usability and whether the information is convenient and sufficient for mold modification)
• Responsible for mold trials and follow-up of issues
• Perform any other duties assigned by the superior

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or above; major in Mold Design Mechanical Design or related disciplines preferred
• Over 3 years of working experience in plastics mold ESI / DFM
• Over 5 years of working experience in plastics mold design
• Strong data analysis skills
• Familiar with high-precision part measurement (CMM VMM 3D / CT scan)
• Mold design experience for automotive products is a plus
• Proficient in plastics mold design
• Fluent spoken English
• Strong communication skills
• Proactive and solution-oriented
• Strong problem-solving ability perseverance and solid analytical numerical and reasoning skills.
