About the role Mō te tūranga mahi

As an Advisor in OIA Services youll prepare high quality and timely responses to requests for official information. You will also be able to do some work for our Ministerial Services team on correspondences. You will also be responsible for keeping abreast of trends and issues that could affect any aspect of our work. Youll need to be able to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to help you do this.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity within the Government Engagement team based in Wellington.

In addition to your excellent oral and written communication skills you will have experience in report and business writing and proven experience in writing.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with the business and key stakeholders to identify and manage cross government activities which impact on ACC.

  • Provide advice to other business units on what cross government activities are underway that impact on their business unit.

  • Take ownership and accountability for ensuring internal and external customers are kept well informed and expectations are being managed and met.

  • Manage a caseload of OIA requests Ministerial correspondence and Ministerial requests for information as required by investigating issues raised and drafting responses.

  • Work on a no surprises basis and ensure management are kept well informed of progress issues and risks.

  • Ensure all drafts go through the appropriate quality assurance processes prior to sending for relevant approvals.

  • Support other business units by providing advice and responding to queries from staff regarding the Official Information Act and Machinery of Government and Public Sector Engagement.

The appointing salary for this role will sit between $73196 and $94700 and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution.
