About the role
As a Quality Assurance Advisor you will support the design delivery and ongoing operation of Process Quality Assurance (QA) activities across Suncorp New Zealand. Youll provide assurance that business processes are operating as intended with a strong focus on managing compliance risk and material operational risk.
Working closely with Risk Owners first-line leaders and QA partners (both onshore and offshore) youll deliver meaningful insights support corrective actions and help drive continuous improvement across our quality assurance programme.
What youll be doing
Supporting the rollout and day-to-day operation of Process QA activities across the business
Developing maintaining and reviewing Process QA criteria in collaboration with Risk Owners and QA Activity Owners
Conducting QA reviews (and coaching offshore teams) in line with approved criteria sampling methodologies and QA standards
Producing QA insights and analysis packs that highlight trends adverse outcomes and potential incidents
Facilitating calibration and peer review sessions to ensure consistent application of QA criteria
Identifying escalating and managing potential incidents in line with incident management standards
Supporting effective QA action management including tracking and validating completion of actions
Providing value-adding coaching and feedback to identify training needs control gaps and improvement opportunities
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across QA processes criteria design and assurance coverage
Supporting training accreditation and capability uplift for onshore and offshore QA teams
Championing strong risk management practices governance and controls in all QA activities
What were looking for
A tertiary qualification or relevant industry qualification (e.g. ANZIIF) is desirable
3 years experience in quality assurance audit compliance risk control testing or process optimisation
Experience within insurance or regulated financial services environments is highly advantageous
Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and risk-based testing approaches
Ability to interpret and apply regulatory and compliance requirements to assess processes and controls
Advanced analytical skills including the ability to identify trends root causes and control weaknesses
High attention to detail when reviewing assessing and reporting QA outcomes
Confident communicator with the ability to explain findings clearly and constructively challenge where required
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative working style
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver work to defined cadences and deadlines
