Job Summary

Position Summary

Essential Functions 

  • Recruit adults age 55 through outreach presentations and community engagement. 

  • Conduct orientations and onboarding including enrollment paperwork and eligibility verification 

  • Match volunteers to appropriate service opportunities based on skills interests and community needs. 

  • Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations and government agencies. 

  • Communicate with volunteers to ensure engagement and retention. 

  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with AmeriCorps Seniors requirements. 

  • Collect and input data related to volunteer participation and service outputs. 

  • Advocate for the needs of older adults and raise awareness of available resources for MCOA.  

  • Perform additional duties as assigned for MCOA. 

 

Competencies Knowledge Skills and Abilities 

  • Effective oral and written communication 

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships and develop partnerships 

  • Ability to adapt quickly and excellent problem-solving skills 

  • Grant compliance and regulatory knowledge. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) 


Qualifications :

  • Completion of a bachelors degree from an accredited college in human services public administration or a related field or equivalent experience.  

  • 1-3 years or more of experience in volunteer coordination or program support.  

  • Knowledge of aging networks and service systems 

  • Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Salary Range: $50000 - $63000
