More to Say is a pediatric development and therapy center offering speech & language feeding and occupational therapy services as well as holistic enrichment programs and homeschooling classes. Position Overview
The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) plays a key role in driving practice growth and community impact. This position is responsible for building strong referral relationships coordinating engaging events and increasing awareness of More to Say within the community. You will act as a liaison between the practice and referral sources such as pediatric offices daycares and community organizations ensuring families can easily access our services and resources.
Home office location can be in either our Oxford or Shelton CT clinic. Additionally weekly hours are spent out of office directly interacting with the community.
What Youll Do
Community Outreach & Relationship Building
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources (physician offices daycares community centers)
- Conduct regular in-person visits to referral locations (reliable transportation required)
- Schedule and coordinate lunch & learn presentations and educational opportunities
- Serve as a liaison between referral partners and the practice
Event Planning & Coordination
- Research and coordinate participation in community events
- Plan and execute internal and external events workshops and classes
- Manage all logistics materials and event checklists
- Encourage staff participation and maximize event engagement
- Track attendance and facilitate referrals from events
Marketing & Promotion
- Assist in developing promotional strategies and campaigns
- Create and distribute surveys to guide marketing initiatives
- Analyze survey data and adjust outreach efforts accordingly
- Collaborate with the Social Media Specialist on content ideas and newsletters
Patient & Family Experience
- Act as an advocate for patients and families
- Communicate with referral sources to ensure high-quality care delivery
- Support families in accessing services and resources
Data Tracking & Performance
- Track referrals events and outreach metrics
- Maintain accurate records and complete weekly/monthly reporting
- Monitor KPIs and proactively address performance gaps
Team Contribution & Culture
- Participate in team meetings trainings and community initiatives
- Support office organization and marketing material inventory
- Contribute to a positive collaborative and mission-driven culture
- Participate in any task that supports the mission of More to Say
What Success Looks Like
- Monthly referrals are consistently increasing
- New referral sources are established each month
- Referrals per source are growing over time
- Event attendance continues to increase
- Lunch & learns scheduled monthly
