About the job:
We are seeking a committed and dynamic Program Lead to manage and strengthen the implementation of education programs at the district level. This role is responsible for overall district operations across one or more initiatives such as fellowship programs teacher support programs and partnership-based projects.
This position is ideal for a leader who can manage field operations work closely with government schools and officials mentor youth fellows and build strong relationships with parents and community stakeholders to improve student outcomes specifically regarding preparation for JNV and other residential model schools.
Key Responsibilities:
1. District Program Management
- Manage overall operations within the district for all active programs.
- Ensure smooth planning coordination monitoring and execution of all district-level activities.
2. Government School and Teacher Support
- Work closely with government teachers through regular school visits to support student preparation for residential model school entrance exams.
- Identify academic needs on the ground and provide practical support to strengthen classroom processes.
3. Fellow Management and Academic Supervision
- Manage and mentor youth fellows working within government schools.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching quality classroom management and student engagement.
4. Government Liaison and Administrative Coordination
- Maintain strong relationships with block- and district-level officials to secure permissions and ensure smooth program implementation.
- Support the release and follow-up of official correspondence related to trainings school visits and meetings.
5. Parent and Community Engagement
- Collaborate with parents and community stakeholders to encourage regular student participation and exam preparation.
- Conduct meetings and follow-ups with families to strengthen local ownership and support for student learning.
Experience & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Education Social Work Development Studies Management or a related field.

Experience: 35 years of experience in program implementation district operations field management or the education/development sector.

Preference: Prior experience working with government schools teachers and government systems is preferred.

Team Leadership: Experience managing field teams or youth fellows in rural or community-based programs is desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership coordination and team management skills.
- Ability to build relationships with government stakeholders teachers parents and community members.
- Strong observation mentoring and feedback-giving skills.
- Excellent problem-solving planning and execution capabilities.
- Good communication reporting and interpersonal skills.
