Financial Accountant (Fluent in French)

The Coordination FR GER & UK area of EDP GBS is seeking to recruit a professional to support the General Accounting process specifically related to the accounting for solar renewable generation companies in France.

What you will do:

• Manage general accounting activities in accordance with French accounting principles.
• Record daily accounting transactions.
• Perform account reconciliations including bank reconciliations and monthly balance reviews.
• Prepare monthly quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and notes to the accounts.
• Support tax filings and administrative deadlines.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement within the accounting function

What are we looking for:

• Fluent French and English (written and spoken). Spanish or Portuguese are a plus.
• Degree in Accounting Economics Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of French accounting principles and IFRS.
• Good understanding of basic French tax requirements.
• Knowledge of Excel.
• High accuracy reliability and independence in managing tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
