Job Summary
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a part-time temporary Research Assistant in the Leon Hess School of Business. This is a temporary project in conjunction with local businesses to help increase sales and identify new customers.
This is an on-campus in-person; non-remote position.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Manually create an updated list of OTIs including additional information not in the commissions importantly: website physical address export coordinator(s) and import coordinator(s). The coordinators are the ultimate decision-makers so it is valuable to find their LinkedIn profiles and provide additional data on themhow long they have worked for the companies where they are located education background any connection to NJ/NY area that might be useful in the sales current customers from the list as defined in the CRM system.
Determine how to identify companies that need less than container full load (LCL) and full container load (FCL) shipping services as these are Troylines optimal additional segmentation of this information that would benefit the sales/marketing with sales team potential segment groups such as geography company size frequency of current business relationship.
Explore automation opportunities to keep this information refreshed on a monthly basis with minimal manual effort best efforts to recommend an approach to automation
Minimum Qualifications:
- Research capabilities - Proficiency with search engines AI searches and a curious mindset
- Analytical capabilities - Proficiency with spreadsheets basic finance principles and financial analysis
- Communication capabilities Basic writing and presentation skills
- Critical thinking Ability to ask questions solve problems and seek assistance when needed
- Team player Ability to work effectively in a team and share knowledge for the benefit of the team
- Work ethic The desire to deliver an end work product while learning and developing as a professional
