Job Summary
The 6th Grade Math Teacher / Coach is responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction aligned to state standards while also supporting and leading an assigned athletic program. This position requires a commitment to academic excellence student development and positive school culture both in the classroom and through athletics.
Qualifications :
Instructional Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging standards-based math instruction aligned to state curriculum
- Utilize data to inform instruction and monitor student progress
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners including students with diverse academic and behavioral needs
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to ensure alignment and consistency
- Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate records of student performance
- Participate in professional development and continuous improvement practices
Coaching Responsibilities
- Plan organize and lead practices and competitions for assigned sport(s)
- Promote sportsmanship teamwork and character development
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes
- Follow district conference and state athletic guidelines and policies
- Maintain communication with parents athletes and administration
- Supervise students during practices games and travel
- Assist with program development and off-season activities as assigned
