The MSAP Theme Integration & Program Coordinator will serve as the school-based leader for all implementation aspects of the specialized magnet program combining instructional leadership with program coordination. This dynamic position requires a passionate education professional who will integrate the magnet theme across curriculum and instruction while overseeing program implementation coordinating professional development managing data collection leading recruitment efforts and supporting family and community engagement activities. The coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the magnet theme is authentically embedded in daily instruction while managing the operational aspects of the magnet program.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position is a ten-month teacher contract (205 days) plus a benefits package. NOTE: Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based on experience and LRSDs salary placement guidelines. FLSA: EXEMPT.
This is a grant funded position and dependent on grant renewal.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold a valid Arkansas teaching license
Masters degree preferred
At least five (5) years of successful experience in education with special magnet-focused interest/experience in curriculum development instructional coaching and professional development
Demonstrated experience in curriculum mapping instructional design and/or curriculum integration
Knowledge of the school and District policy and procedures
Strong understanding of thematic curriculum integration approaches and project-based learning methodologies
In-depth knowledge of Arkansas state standards and curriculum frameworks
Evidence of strong organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of best practices featured in magnet schools
Evidence of strong oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to work collaboratively with teachers administrators families and community partners
Experience with data collection analysis and reporting preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Google Workspace and learning management systems

Model effective instructional strategies aligned with magnet themes through demonstration lessons and co-teaching
Provide ongoing coaching and support to teachers in implementing theme-based instruction and project-based learning approaches
Guide the integration of the magnet theme across content areas supporting teachers in making authentic connections
Develop and maintain a repository of magnet curriculum units resources and materials using Google Drive and other platforms
Monitor implementation of magnet curricula to ensure consistency quality and fidelity across grade levels
Program Coordination & Implementation
Coordinate and schedule all magnet-related activities events professional development sessions and enrichment opportunities
Plan coordinate and facilitate professional development sessions for teaching staff in collaboration with district MSAP staff
Serve as the primary liaison between the school and district MSAP team external consultants and community partners
Oversee magnet program budget expenditures at the school level and maintain accurate financial records
Collect organize and submit required program data and documentation for evaluation and reporting purposes
Participate actively in the schools Magnet Advisory Council or Campus Leadership Team
Monitor student participation in magnet activities and ensure equitable access for all students including English learners and students with disabilities
Recruitment Outreach & Family Engagement
Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy in collaboration with the district Outreach and Recruitment Specialist
Create and disseminate marketing materials highlighting the unique aspects of the magnet program (print digital social media)
Represent the magnet program at community events school fairs information sessions and feeder school visits
Conduct school tours and information sessions for prospective families
Build and maintain relationships with families community organizations and business partners to support the magnet theme
Coordinate family involvement activities that support and celebrate the magnet theme
Develop partnerships with community organizations and businesses to enhance program offerings and provide authentic learning experiences
Communicate regularly with parents about magnet activities student progress and opportunities for involvement
Mental Functions Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand walk go up and down stairs operate foot and hand controls use a telephone and write. Occasionally the employee must lift and/or move up to twenty (20) or more pounds. This position requires accurate perceiving of sound near and far vision depth perception handling and working with educational materials and/or objects and providing oral information. Must have the ability to work for the duration of the daily contracted time period and to be physically present and at assigned work with only infrequent unexcused absences during the contract year. Additional technical skills knowledge and abilities may be recommended by immediate supervisor and approved by the Human Resources Director.
