We are partnering with a leading technology solutions provider in Malta to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager. This is a strategic client-facing role focused on managing and growing a portfolio of high-value accounts while also identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Reporting into senior leadership you will play a key role in driving commercial performance building long-term client partnerships and contributing to the companys overall growth strategy. The position requires a commercially driven professional with strong industry knowledge and the ability to operate in a fast-paced solutions-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts and target prospects
- Build and maintain strong client relationships acting as a trusted advisor and understanding evolving business needs
- Lead the full commercial cycle from opportunity identification through to negotiation and deal closure
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Product Marketing Pre-Sales Service Delivery Finance) to ensure a seamless client experience
- Develop and execute account plans aligned with wider business objectives
- Monitor performance against targets and provide regular forecasting and reporting to senior management
- Lead contract discussions renewals and commercial negotiations to ensure long-term client retention
- Stay up to date with market trends competitor activity and industry developments to inform strategic decisions
- Provide guidance and direction to internal stakeholders or team members involved in client engagements
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in business development or account management within the technology sector
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and growing client portfolios
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders and maintain long-term partnerships
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Experience working in dynamic client-focused environments
- Local market experience in Maltas tech sector or a similar environment is essential
- Up to 30% performance bonus (based on individual and company performance)
