Requirements:
- CA or ACCA-qualified accountant.
- 4-5 years of experience working remotely with a UK-based accounting firm.
- Proven proficiency in accounting software including Xero QuickBooks FreeAgent Sage Business Cloud Sage Line 50 VTT and TaxCalc.
- Experience in data migration from Sage Business Cloud to Xero is a plus.
- Strong understanding of VAT accounting principles and UK tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor junior staff.
- A proactive and results-oriented team player with a positive attitude.
- Experience using video conferencing and collaboration tools for remote work is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Process financial transactions maintain general ledger accuracy and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare value-added tax (VAT) returns manage VAT calculations and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Collaborate with the tax team to prepare accurate and timely corporate and individual tax returns.
- Review and mentor junior staff on accounting processes VAT calculations and tax return preparation.
- Assist in the creation of financial reports analyse trends and provide insights to management.
- Maintain a strong understanding of accounting principles tax regulations and relevant industry best practices.
