Job Summary
Tucker Mechanical seeking a Project Manager for our Service Department to assistthe company in meeting its objectives and goals by overseeing and directing assigned commercial mechanical projects at various locations in Connecticut and taking appropriate actions to ensure projects are completed on time within budget and with defined resources.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Prepare bids and job quotes for service-related projects
- Meet with existing and prospective clients to review installation and retrofit projects
- Develop estimates for design-build and plan & specification projects
- Execute and manage project contracts ensuring scope alignment and compliance
- Define and maintain complete project scopes of work
- Monitor project budgets labor costs and profitability
- Develop and maintain project schedules ensuring milestone deadlines are met
- Review analyze and propose change orders
- Analyze drawings and construction documents to confirm requirements and identify value-engineering opportunities
- Prepare billing documentation and coordinate with accounting personnel
- Conduct periodic project reviews with General Manager
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Visit job sites as required to monitor progress and address issues
- Communicate and coordinate with general contractors owners and construction manager
- Recommend project methods and process improvements
- Report and assist in the resolution of employee concerns and/or grievances as needed
- Ensure job site safety and compliance with company safety programs
- Attend and conduct meetings as required
- Comply with all company policies procedures and operational standards
Qualifications
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years of mechanical or HVAC project construction-related experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering or construction management preferred
- Previous experience with estimating project-related work
- Experience with and knowledge of HVAC piping and mechanical systems
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must be proficient in the following:
- Microsoft Office Excel and Word
- Bluebeam Revu PDF editing
- COINS software experience is preferred
