The Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Coordinator of the Clinical Neurophysiology Services reports to the IONM Senior Manager. The IONM Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the 24/7 IONM operations for both Adult and Pediatric collaboration with the Medical Director and the IONM Senior Manager the IONM Coordinator supports the Clinical Neurophysiology Services department ICCE and the Medical Centers goals. Goals include achievement of clinical and quality measures operational efficiency financial targets population/age-specific needs of the department as well as the needed components to maintain our ABRET IONM Lab accreditation.

Under the general supervision of the MD the IONM Coordinator also supports in staffing with recording by means of electronic equipment neurophysiologic potentials for the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases and conditions involving the nervous system. The position demonstrates competence and either coordinates the immediate availability and oversight by an MD or has availability to provide assistance during all procedures to the IONM staff.

Job Description

Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) and a minimum of five years of experience in intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring. Certification in one or more neurodiagnostic registries (EEG R EP T R NCS T) or a Bachelors degree from an accredited institution is also required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
