OPERATIONS

Operations partners with all areas of Goldman Sachs to deliver our institutional consumer and asset management businesses and to provide seamless experience for our clients. We manage and process our clients business including onboarding post-trade processing and regulatory compliance. Our teams work closely across the firm to develop and deliver new products and services while mitigating operational risk and enhancing the client experience. We drive process and technology change to scale and automate our businesses. Operations professionals are either embedded in the business segment or division that they support or they support multiple businesses and are part of core Operations.

OUR IMPACT

The AWM Data Governance team is seeking to add a highly motivated professional to its org. This team is primarily focused on building & maintaining a Data Governance framework for data attributes comprised in external reports and content published externally and internally. The Data Governance team will work closely with Operations Business Legal Compliance Controllers Technology and other groups in establishing data pipelines and maintaining data value chains connected to various reporting outputs of the organization. They will also assume responsibility of the risk & control oversight to ensure accurate and timely maintenance of these value chains at a periodic frequency along with establishing a change management maintenance workflow.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

• Leverage analytical skills creative problem solving and project management skills to steer and uplift the existing Data Governance model.
• Organize discussions with key stakeholders to understand how our technology works thereby empowering you to define specific data attributes and identify the relevant owners and source system(s) along with Data flows.
• Improve the risk framework for data governance by documenting existing controls analyzing their suitability and recommending new controls for implementation
• Develop strong working relationships with Sales Legal Compliance Controllers technology and other groups in establishing the Data Governance model and keeping it up to date
• Develop proficiency in control assessments governance frameworks as well as data-lineaging solutions to digitize Data Governance and improve data quality

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors/ masters degree (Engineering Finance Economics Business Management)
• Strong analytical and project managementskills
• Excellent communication skills both written/verbal this is extremely important for a Data Governance professional to be able to talk to stakeholders across the globe on frameworks with persuasion and conviction
• Exceptional attention to detail andaccuracy
• Ability to handle multiple projects deadlines personalities and broad-basedcoverage
• Knowledge and understanding of Excel PowerPoint Word and adaptability to other softwareproducts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
• Any exposure to Data Governance tools (e.g. Collibra) is a bonus.
• Knowledge of the investment management industry is abonus.
