In this part-time (68.4 Hrs/9 days per fortnight - 8:30am to 4:30pm) maximum term (till June 30 2028) position youll work as part of our DFV team in the Brisbane region to help us create lasting change for children everywhere.
You will make a difference by:
- Facilitating the provision of safe accommodation to women and children escaping domestic and family violence.
- Providing immediate support to women and children impacted by DFV
- Conducting thorough gendered analysis of risk and needs assessments within a trauma informed case management framework
- Developing strong networks and referral pathways to support desired outcomes
- Collecting and recording information for the purpose of accountability evaluation and reporting

Your deep expertise and thorough understanding of the impact of domestic violence on women and children and ability to apply that within a trauma-informed practice framework will be invaluable. Youre an experienced or emerging domestic and family violence practitioner with high levels of initiative and flexibility alongside cultural sensitivity and knowledge.
This role requires:
- Knowledge and understanding of domestic and family violence including the impact on children
- Knowledge of best practice professional standards and relevant research in the field of domestic and family violence
- Demonstrated understanding of the ways in which cultural contexts influence practice approaches
- Current valid drivers license
- A Bachelor of Social Work Psychology or relevant Human Services Qualification and/or significant experience working in a similar service
It is a genuine requirement of this position that it be filled by a woman as permitted in sections 25 104 and 105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.
