People Generalist
Job Summary
Department: People Operations
Purpose of the Position:
The People Generalist will provide general services to the People department to assist with hiring employee onboarding employee communication process status changes maintain employee files and process terminations. This role is responsible for enforcing People policies and procedures.
Job responsibilities:
The positions key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist with New Hire Orientation including reviewing all new hire documents ensuring accuracy process I-9s and confirming all employee files are up to date and compliant with company policy.
Oversee the process for internal changes: promotions job titles exemption status etc. and make changes as needed on time.
Work with Academic and Operation teams to assist employees with internal education programs and oversee processes to ensure employees are complaint with the Education Assistant program.
Assist employees with Verification of employment.
Work with team members to monitor and audit employee files on a consistent basis.
Support employees and managers when needed by providing information and assistance concerning employment policies and procedures on time and meet the HR ticketing SLA goals.
Oversee the New Employee Surveys and communication data analysis report creation.
Communicate with various departments and campuses.
Create and analyze reports on a variety of operations programs.
Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience.
Assist field HR Generalists with HR needs.
Perform other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Human Resources Operations Department.
Regular in-person attendance up to 5 days per week on campus/on site is an essential function of this position.
This role requires on-site collaboration with students faculty and staff.
Qualifications :
Education Experience Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Associate degree Bachelors preferred or equivalent work experience.
2 years experience working in HR function.
Demonstrate a clear understanding of HR best practices and regulations.
Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously in a fast paced deadline driven environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to be an example of a Change Agent
Attention to detail orientation and strong time management skills are essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint DocuSign HR Ticketing System and other technical programs.
Ability to solve problems and meet deadlines as needed for the department.
