Job Title-: Dean- - Communication Design
We are seeking a visionary and experienced academic leader to fill the role of Dean Communication Design. The Dean will be responsible for providing academic direction curriculum oversight and mentorship for undergraduate students. The role involves a strong commitment to both academic administration and instructional excellence focusing on producing industry-ready design talent.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Academic Leadership: Lead the Communication Design department overseeing curriculum development program accreditation and academic quality assurance in alignment with SEAMEDU and NorthCap University Campus.
- Instruction and Mentorship: Teach guide and inspire undergraduate students in key areas of Communication Design.
- Conceptual Development: Mentor students effectively on conceptual development critical thinking and advanced problem-solving techniques.
- Portfolio Building: Direct student efforts in building strong industry-ready professional portfolios.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Foster and maintain effective working relationships with faculty and administration across diverse and interdisciplinary academic environments.
- Administrative Duties: Oversee departmental faculty resources budgeting and strategic planning.
Required Skills and Expertise
The ideal candidate must possess a strong foundation and proven expertise in the following domain-specific areas:
- Visual Design Principles
- Digital Tools and Technologies relevant to design (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite UI/UX tools)
- Branding and Identity Design
- Storytelling and Narrative Design
- Design Thinking methodologies
Desired Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Previous Teaching Experience: College or university-level teaching experience is highly valued.
- Research & Publication: A track record of research publications or professional contributions in the design field.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to student success and clear stakeholder communication.
Job Location : NorthCap University Sector 23 Gurugram
Work Experience : Minimum 8 years in relevant academic or industry roles.
Education : Masters in Design (Communication Design) Preferably Pursuing Ph.D in similar field)
