Role and Responsibilities
Sitting within the Cyber Security Team the Cyber Security Architect will play a critical role in ensuring that Raytheon UK remain compliant with a range of internal and external security accreditations standards and control sets. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically capable Cyber Security professional to develop into a security architect role within a fast-paced governance-led environment. This role is designed for individuals with strong foundational experience who are ready to transition from hands-on engineering or operational security into architecture design assurance and strategic security leadership.
You will work with security leadership and the wider department to shape secure-by-design solutions influence engineering practices and embed security into enterprise programmes.
Essential Experience
- 3 to 7 years experience in cyber security infrastructure or systems engineering.
- Background in roles such as: Security Engineer Systems Engineer Network Engineer SOC Analyst (with strong technical depth)
- Strong understanding of; Networking (TCP/IP firewalls segmentation) Operating systems (Windows/Linux) Identity and access management concepts Cloud Fundamentals.
- Exposure to security tooling (SIEM IDS/IPS EDR)
- Strong understanding of core security principles such as: Defence in depth Least privilege Zero trust concepts
- An understanding of designing and implementing secure systems to HMG security requirements.
- Experience managing complex technology estates with differing risk profiles.
Desirable
- Information Security related certifications such as Security CISSP CISM GSEC SSCP
