Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Hybrid (Covent Garden / Milton Keyne)

About the role

Were looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join BSI and play a key role in improving and evolving our DevOps environments and software delivery processes. Reporting to the Technical Lead youll help drive operational excellence improve CI/CD capabilities and support the delivery of secure scalable high-performing platforms across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Own and manage complex technical solutions to support BSI various environments

• Collaborate and work with our cross functional teams including security architects and delivery to deliver the right solutions

• Contribute to the design build and operational management of a highly scalable secure and available PaaS/SaaS platform ensuring it can operate 247. You maybe required to provide out-of-hours or on-call services as required

• Reduce and remove bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the collaboration with the product teams work to reduce or eliminate manual or repetitive tasks

• Champion and embody a mindset of agile delivery and continuous improvement whilst aligning to IT global process and keeping focus on business outcomes.

To be successful in the role you will have:

• Being a effective key communicator and stakeholder management in large complex organizations demonstrating a great ability to listen and navigate competing sets of priorities business opportunities and challenges

• Conveying a level of confidence and professionalism when engaging with stakeholders influencing positively and persuading others to take a specific course of action when not in a position of authority prioritisation and delegation abilities

• Essential technical skills:-

  • CI/CD: microservices infrastructure as a code monitoring/logging containerisation & automation

  • Operational Management: Synthetic Monitoring tools: NewRelic Site24x7 or Pingdom to monitor availability and performance

  • Code Management: Azure Repos and/or Enterprise GitHub or Bitbucket

  • Container & API technologies: Docker Kubernetes Apigee

  • MS ADO Azure Boards and/or Jira Confluence

• Desirable technical skills:

  • Experience of working with offshore/nearshore service providers

  • Security Test & Release Automation: Acunetix (or similar) Azure Artifacts & Test Plans and/or Jenkins

  • Azure Enterprise: Cloud IaaS PaaS and SaaS environments

  • Site reliability engineering familiar with chaos engineering principles AZ 900 / AZ 104 / AZ 204 / AZ 500
