The Team

Risk & Valuations Services (RVS) is part of S&P Global Market Intelligence providing data insights and analytics towiderange of customer segments across financial markets.Part of ahighly collaborative teamthe ideal candidate combinesadepth ofhands-on security experienceproactivelyidentifyingexploitable risks effectively remediatingriskalong with providingsolutions andguidance atscale across a large portfolio of products.As well they will need topartner closely within MI and Enterprisesecurityto ensure safe authorized and controlled operations.

Responsibilities and Impact

  • Execute handson application and cloud penetration testing across assigned product portfolios focusing on realworld exploitability and business risk.

  • Plan and conduct red team activitiesin accordance withapproved scope authorization and Rules of Engagement defined by Corporate Offensive Security.

  • Leverage AIassisted testing techniques (e.g. intelligent discovery fuzzing and analysis) to improve coverage efficiency and testing quality.

  • Engage directly with product and engineering teams to explain attack paths prioritize findings andfacilitatetimely durable remediation.

  • Validate remediation effectiveness ensuring exploit paths are fully closed and do not regress.

  • Leverage findings remediationeffortsand guidance to drive education and stronger proactive security posture in alignment with Corporate and Divisional security teams.

  • Produce clear managementready reports that communicate exploitability impact and remediation status.

  • Contribute to enterprise offensive security standards playbooks and threat scenarios.

Required Qualifications

HandsOn Offensive Security

  • 10 years of experience in penetration testing red teaming application security or offensive security engineering.

  • Strongexpertisein web API and cloudnative testing including authentication authorization and identity abuse scenarios.

  • Experience testing modern architectures (microservices CI/CD pipelines containers SaaS).

  • Handson scripting or development experience (e.g. Python Go JavaScript) to support exploit development and automation.

  • Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 CWE/SANS Top 25 and secure development practices.

Governance and Collaboration

  • Demonstrated experienceoperatingwithin formal red team programs that include rules of engagement legal authorization and incident response coordination.

  • Proven ability to partner effectively with engineering AppSec Cloud Security and Incident Response teams.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey risk to both technical andbusiness stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Offensive security certifications (e.g. OSCP OSCE GXPN CRTO or equivalent experience).

  • Experience testing AIenabled or agentic systems.

  • Experience with threatmodelingandsecure architecture review.
