Summary The Elementary Instructional Coach for Early-Career Teachers works alongside teachers and administrators to strengthen classroom instruction classroom management and parent communication while also supporting student learning. The Elementary Instructional Coach for Early-Career Teachers supports early-career teachers (typically 03 years of experience) in developing effective instructional practices classroom management skills and professional growth habits. The coach works collaboratively with teachers to improve student outcomes through mentoring modeling observation and role focuses on job-embedded coaching aligned to best teaching practices and district priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide non-evaluative job-embedded coaching through co-planning co-teaching modeling lessons classroom observations and feedback.
Work closely with principals and leadership teams to align coaching efforts with school improvement goals.
Support new teachers through mentoring onboarding and ongoing instructional support.
Encourage reflective practice and promote a culture of collaboration and continuous growth.
Maintain confidentiality and build trusting professional relationships with staff.
Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive actionable feedback
Model effective instructional strategies lesson planning and classroom management techniques
Facilitate goal-setting and professional growth plans for novice teachers
Analyze student data with teachers to inform instructional decisions
Provide resources tools and strategies to support diverse learners
Lead or support professional development sessions for new teachers
Maintain confidentiality and build trusting supportive relationships
Collaborate with school leaders and staff to support teacher development initiatives
Qualifications
Valid Arkansas teaching license with Elementary certification.
At least three (3) years of successful elementary classroom teaching experience.
Strong understanding of standards-aligned instruction and effective teaching practices.
Experience using student data to inform instruction.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Education Curriculum & Instruction Educational Leadership or a related field.
Experience as an instructional coach mentor or teacher leader.
Experience in leading and/or supporting professional development opportunities
Experience supporting PLCs and adult learning.
Familiarity with high-quality instructional materials (HQIM).
