The OPS Instructional Technologist is a part-time position which supports the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) by providing practical assistance with instructional technologies that advance effective teaching and learning. Working closely with CTE staff this role helps faculty and programs make productive use of learning technologies through hands-on support resource development and participation in professional development initiatives. The position contributes to daily operational needs while gaining experience in instructional technology faculty development and emerging tools in higher education.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Provide direct support for instructional technologies used in CTE programs resources and initiatives
Assist faculty and staff with Canvas features and other digital tools used for teaching and learning
Support workshops training sessions and events by helping with preparation technology setup and in-session assistance
Develop and update instructional resources such as quick-start guides tutorials and documentation
Contribute to course and instructional material development projects supported by CTE
Explore and assist with pilot uses of emerging instructional technologies including AI-enabled tools
Collaborate with CTE team members and campus partners on teaching and learning initiatives
Track support activities requests and project-related work to support reporting and evaluation
Expected Salary:
$15.00 per hour; commensurate with education and experience.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a related field.
Preferred:
Graduate coursework or current enrollment in programs related to instructional technology education educational psychology or related fields
Experience supporting instructors students or staff in an educational or training environment
Familiarity with learning management systems (Canvas preferred)
Basic knowledge of teaching and learning principles
Experience using educational technologies such as video tools collaboration platforms orAI-supportedinstructional tools
Strong communicationskills and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff

This position is located in Gainesville FL and is not eligible for remote work
Up to 15 hours per week depending on unit needs.
