Adobe Advertising is a combination of a Demand Side Platform(DSP) and a Spend Optimiser that helps customers plan buy measure and optimize their digital media (across CTV Online Video Display Search Social and Retail Media Networks). We solve hard problems across big data (400 bn auctions a day) low latency (20 ms response time) and AI / ML. We build product experiences that customers love for generating insights and taking action. As a Senior Engineering Manager 2 (M50) of Software Development you will provide technical vision and leadership to your teams and mentor and coach them to achieve their full potential. You will foster a culture of agility excellence collaboration customer focus and ensure that your teams deliver products that meet the highest standards of quality performance security and usability. You will also drive the adoption of best practices modern tools and agile methodologies across the engineering organization. You will be accountable for the end-to- end delivery of your products from ideation to deployment and ensure that they align with the overall business goals and customer needs.

Role Summary
This position offers unique opportunity to build Adobes flagship and award-winning products in a platform agnostic manner on cutting edge tools and technologies leveraging the best of desktop AI (Artificial Intelligence) and cloud this role you will closely partner with the cross functional team of Experience Design Product and Program Managers in addition to the Marketing team to define and deliver on product roadmaps. You will also be responsible for interaction with customers (directly and through the customer success team) worldwide understanding their needs and exceeding their expectations through deep innovation and delightful experiences.
What youll do
Lead in a Hands-on manner. Be in the trenches where needed.
Build data lake powered high scale and ultra low-latency systems
Special focus on R&D and Central data platform evolution to rethink existing architectures
Layout a multi-horizon strategy to guide our research and development efforts based on the latest and greatest in software development practises. Iterate on this strategy as the field evolves and new barriers are breached.
Collaborate with Product Management to bring AI based Assistive experiences to life. Socialize whats possible now or in near future to inform the roadmap.
Be a bridge between Adobes research labs product management and engineering teams to align and amplify their efforts.
Hire and lead a diverse team of world-class engineers while being responsible for driving all aspects of product development
Create and instil a team culture that focuses on sound scientific processes and encourages deep engagement with our customers.
Handle project scope and risks with data analytics and creative problem solving
Skills Required
Expertise in building very large scale and low-latency data platforms from scratch
In-depth expertise in Lakehouse technologies excellent systems design skills
Familiarity with frameworks used for modern data platforms and governance
Exposure to Gen AI technologies and agentic data dependencies will be among the technical requirements for this role.
Quickly acquiring business understanding
Clear and crisp communications skills and ability to foster partnership with a globally distributed team
Ability to attract hire and mentor top class talent
Continuously raising the bar
Ability to be a self-starter and work closely with cross functional team
What you need to succeed
More than 12 years of experience including at least 8 years in technical roles involving large scale web- based system development
Expertise in Data Lake technologies (specifically Lakehouse based technologies) familiarity with frameworks used for building and deploying SaaS applications
Excellent system design skills and ability to dive into details
Being a change agent hire and mentoring top notch talent and keep raising the bar
Masters or bachelors in computer science or main-stream Engineering
Experience in building high-scale transactional and data platform backed systems from scratch
Comfortable with ambiguity adaptability to evolving priorities and the ability to lead a team while working autonomously
Proven management experience with highly diverse and global teams
Demonstrated ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
An ability to think strategically look around corners and create a vision for the current quarter the year and five years down the road.
A relentless pursuit of great customer experiences and continuous improvements to the product.
