Project Manager- Salesforce
Job Summary
The Salesforce Project Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of Salesforce initiatives - from planning and requirements gathering to deployment and post-implementation support. This role ensures that Salesforce projects are executed on time within scope and budget and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning execution and delivery of Salesforce projects including enhancements integrations and new implementations.
- Define project scope goals deliverables and timelines in collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans budgets resource allocation and risk mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate communication between business users Salesforce administrators developers and external partners.
- Ensure alignment of Salesforce solutions with business objectives and Salesforce best practices.
- Oversee UAT deployment activities and change management to ensure smooth go-live transitions.
- Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques; report progress and key metrics to leadership.
- Manage and mitigate risks issues and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support post-implementation activities including training documentation and continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on Salesforce releases and features to identify opportunities for business innovation.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Systems Computer Science or related field. 5 years of project management experience with at least 2-3 years managing Salesforce projects.
- Proven track record delivering Salesforce solutions (e.g. Sales Cloud Service Cloud Experience Cloud or Marketing Cloud).
- Strong understanding of Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience managing cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. Jira Asana Smartsheet or MS Project). Preferred: Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator Salesforce Business Analyst or Salesforce Project Manager (PMI Salesforce Path). PMP or Agile (Scrum Master PMI-ACP or SAFe) certification.
