Senior Project Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the design implementation and delivery of enterprise technology solutions across networking security data centre cloud and infrastructure environments. This role requires a strong technical background combined with excellent stakeholder management and project delivery skills to ensure successful outcomes across complex technology projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Solution Design

• Lead the design validation and delivery of enterprise-grade technology solutions.
• Conduct technical workshops and discovery sessions to gather business and technical requirements.
• Develop high-level and low-level solution designs implementation plans and as-built documentation.
• Implement and configure solutions in accordance with approved scope timelines and budgets.
• Provide Level 3 technical support and post-implementation troubleshooting when required.
• Ensure project documentation risk registers handover documents and technical records are maintained accurately.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.

Presales & Solution Architecture

• Support presales activities through solution design technical consultation and project estimation.
• Assist in the preparation of Statements of Work (SOWs) technical proposals and project scope documentation.
• Present technical recommendations roadmaps and solution strategies aligned with customer requirements.
• Identify opportunities for service enhancements technology modernization and additional project opportunities.

Governance & Commercial Management

• Contribute to project profitability and service delivery targets through effective planning and execution.
• Review technical scopes project estimates and Statements of Work to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
• Monitor project risks dependencies and technical challenges escalating issues when required.
• Support project governance processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards and methodologies.

Leadership & Technical Mentorship

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers consultants and project teams.
• Support knowledge sharing and the development of technical best practices across the organization.
• Contribute to capability development service innovation and alignment with industry-leading technologies.
• Promote technical excellence and continuous improvement within delivery teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 510 years experience delivering enterprise technology projects across Networking Security Cloud or Collaboration environments.
• Systems integrator or enterprise background with hands-on project delivery experience.
• Strong documentation stakeholder engagement and troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE Palo Alto PCNSE Aruba Fortinet or Juniper highly regarded.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with international teams.
