Job Summary
Role Summary:Integration Architect to evaluate the middleware and integration tier of a mission-critical financial system. perform a forensic assessment of existing API handshakes legacy messaging brokers and event streams to determine the feasibility of decoupling the architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Middleware Deconstruction: Audit legacy integration logic specifically analyzing the architectural shift from a TIBCO Message Bus to an asynchronous Kafka event-streaming model.
- Event-Stream Integrity Analysis: Inspect Kafka headers topic schemas and WSDL interfaces to ensure settlement finality and transactional consistency are maintained across distributed tiers.
- Observability Auditing: Review the codebase to ensure adequate telemetry and logging hooks exist to prevent silent failures across the integration layer.
- Modernization Roadmap: Document structural bottlenecks and provide actionable executive-level recommendations for decoupling the legacy architecture.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10 years of Enterprise Integration architecture experience.
- Deep technical expertise in Apache Kafka (schema inspection event flow tracing) and legacy ESB platforms (specifically TIBCO).
- Strong understanding framework integration patterns and API decoupling strategies.
- Experience in reverse-engineering or auditing complex highly coupled monolithic architectures.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills with the ability to translate technical debt into business risk.
