Whats the role

Youll play a key supporting role in how Westpac communicates with its people. As part of the Group Business Unit communications team youll contribute to the delivery of clear engaging employee communications across everyday updates campaigns and key moments. Your work will span writing and editing content supporting visual and presentation materials managing workflow and helping track performance. This is a permanent full-time role based in Sydney with flexibility and occasional support outside standard business hours when deadlines are critical.

What do I need

  • Demonstrated experience in communications supported by a tertiary qualification in communications media journalism marketing or a related discipline
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for internal audiences
  • Well-developed organisational skills and confidence managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Interest or capability in supporting visual video or presentation content using standard tools
  • Comfort working with AI and digital platforms for collaboration content management and workflow
  • A proactive dependable approach with sound judgement and professionalism in a regulated environment
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive team player approach
