Job Summary
Job Summary (Behavior Technician High School Cedar Hill TX)
- Full-time position (37.5 hours/week) in a high school setting near Cedar Hill TX
- Immediate start; position runs through the first week of June (strong possibility of renewal for 2026-27 school year)
- Support students communication behavioral social and academic needs using individualized methods
- Provide direct 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy based on treatment plans
- Accurately collect and record behavioral and skill acquisition data during sessions
- Apply behavioral redirection and de-escalation techniques for effective behavior management
- Collaborate with BCBAs teachers and families to promote student progress
- Teach and reinforce social skills communication and daily living skills
- Preference for candidates with prior experience working with teens as a behavior technician
Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must pass a background check
- Completion of 40-hour training and competency assessment
- Successful completion of BACB RBT Certification exam
- Refer to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for certification details
