Tekberry is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support our client within a leading biomedical research environment. This position supports research projects focused on the purification and characterization of human biospecimen derivatives from biofluids tissues and tumors. Research activities support clinical studies involving cancer COVID-19 and other disease areas within BSL-2 certified laboratory environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific foundation excellent laboratory documentation skills and the ability to perform research activities with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Perform laboratory procedures supporting defined research projects
• Process purify and characterize human biospecimen derivatives from tissue and biofluid samples
• Support research studies involving cancer COVID-19 and other clinical research initiatives
• Maintain detailed laboratory records experimental data and study documentation
• Conduct laboratory experiments under established protocols and procedures
• Analyze experimental results and assist with data interpretation
• Prepare reports summaries and presentations of findings
• Follow BSL-2 laboratory safety requirements and research protocols
• Utilize laboratory databases software applications and scientific systems
• Maintain laboratory equipment supplies and inventory as needed
• Collaborate with investigators laboratory staff and research leadership

• Bachelors degree in Biology Biochemistry Molecular Biology Biomedical Sciences or a related scientific discipline
• Minimum 2 years of laboratory or research experience
• General understanding of scientific principles and laboratory techniques
• Ability to maintain detailed and accurate experimental records
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• General computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn scientific software and databases
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a research team

• Experience handling human biospecimens tissue samples or biological fluids
• Experience working in clinical research or biomedical research laboratories
• Familiarity with BSL-2 or BSL-2 laboratory environments
• Experience with protein characterization sample preparation or laboratory data analysis
• Knowledge of laboratory quality and safety procedures

• 100% onsite laboratory environment
• Work performed in BSL-2 certified research laboratories
• Frequent standing walking and laboratory bench work
• Use of laboratory equipment computers and scientific software
• Must follow all laboratory safety and PPE requirements
• Schedule flexibility required based on laboratory operational needs
