Business Development Center (BDC) Agent

Position Overview

Suntrup Ford Westport is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused BDC Agent to manage inbound and outbound sales opportunities. This role is responsible for responding to internet leads handling inbound calls and proactively generating appointments for the sales team.

The ideal candidate is organized driven and thrives in a fast-paced performance-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to all inbound internet leads (email phone text chat) in a timely manner
  • Make outbound calls to follow up on leads unsold traffic and previous customers
  • Set confirm and manage sales appointments for the showroom team
  • Maintain consistent follow-up using CRM (calls texts emails)
  • Ensure all customer interactions are professional prompt and aligned with Suntrup standards
  • Log all communication accurately in CRM
  • Work closely with sales managers to ensure proper handoff of appointments
  • Re-engage aged leads and database opportunities
  • Meet or exceed daily weekly and monthly KPI targets

  • Lead response time (speed to contact)
  • Outbound call volume
  • Appointment set rate
  • Appointment show rate
  • Sold rate from appointments
  • CRM activity and follow-up completion

Qualifications

  • Previous BDC call center or automotive sales experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills (phone text email)
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle a high volume of leads and multitask effectively
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and competitive mindset
  • Comfortable working in a structured KPI-driven environment
