The Senior Global Inventory Analyst is responsible for establishing and driving a world-class global inventory management program across HMH operations. This role tracks and monitors inventory performance improves inventory health and turns and builds forward-looking inventory projections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own global inventory visibility tracking and performance reporting across sites warehouses and project locations.

  • Lead periodic inventory reviews (monthly/quarterly) with Supply Chain Operations Planning and Finance to align on actions and risks.

  • Drive standardization of inventory processes classification and master data practices to improve accuracy and comparability globally.

  • Oversee adherence to HMHs global cycle counting procedureensuring consistent execution timely variance investigation root-cause correction and accurate inventory records in SAP to support audit and inventory accuracy targets.

  • Translate demand and supply signals into projected inventory levels by site category and program identifying gaps constraints and opportunities.

  • Identify excess and slow-moving inventory and drive disposition strategies (redeploy return rework resale scrap).

  • Partner with Procurement Planning and Operations to reduce inventory exposure through better ordering policies MOQ negotiations lead-time reductions and exception message management.

  • Support initiatives to improve inventory turns while maintaining customer delivery performance and operational readiness.

  • Collaborate with Finance to define and maintain obsolescence reserve methodology based on material age demand history forecast coverage and product lifecycle status.

  • Ensure appropriate escalation and corrective actions for items approaching reserve thresholds or requiring write-down consideration.

  • Maintain inventory reporting dashboards and analytics (ERP/MRP tools BI dashboards Excel models) to enable timely insights.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Finance Business Engineering or related field.

  • 5 years of progressive experience in inventory management supply chain planning materials management or related roles.

  • Advanced analytical skills (Excel required; experience with ERP/MRP and BI tools strongly preferred).

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across regions and functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in industrial manufacturing energy services offshore/onshore equipment or engineered-to-order environments.

  • Strong working knowledge of inventory accounting concepts including valuation and obsolescence/reserve practices.

  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM CSCP) or similar credentials.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and analytics tools such as Power BI Tableau or AI.
