Job Description:
Supervise a designated group of children (ages six weeks to ten years) daily ensuring their physical emotional social and cognitive needs are met. Deliver high-quality early childhood and school-age education while promoting the growth and development of young children.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen (18) years of age and possess a H.S. diploma or GED equivalent.
Sixty (60) semester hours of Early Childhood Education at the college level or experience working with young children in a childcare setting required.
Must have or obtain the following trainings within 3 months of employment: Infant & Child First Aid & CPR Common Childhood Communicable Disease Recognition and Prevention of Child Abuse.
Shall not have any convictions of child abuse or crimes involving moral turpitude.
Must have a fingerprint check by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI).
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in early childhood education or a closely related field or Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential preferred.
