About the Role
We are partnering with a global organisation operating across technology and BPO environments with a strong international footprint across Europe the UK and other global markets.
The Cape Town operation supports key functions across a fintech and BPO environment including customer support risk management compliance and technical operations working closely with global teams across product legal and delivery.
This is a hands-on HR leadership role not a purely strategic position. You will take full ownership of the South African HR function ensuring operational excellence while aligning with global HR structures.

Requirements
Minimum 10 years HR experience including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification (HR Industrial Psychology or similar)
Proven experience in BPO tech fintech or financial services environments
Strong operational HR experience with the ability to execute not just strategise
Solid experience in employee relations and South African labour law
Experience managing and leading an HR team
Exposure to global or multi-country business environments
Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving ability
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to influence at senior level and operate under pressure

Key Responsibilities
Operational HR
Own and manage the full HR function locally
Oversee HR operations policies processes and compliance
Manage complex employee relations matters in line with SA labour law
Support workforce planning and operational business needs
Ensure HR systems reporting and processes are efficient and fit for purpose
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and develop a team including HR Business Partners Talent Acquisition HR Operations and Office Management
Drive performance accountability and continuous improvement
Build on an existing HR function and elevate it further
Strategic & Global Alignment
Align local HR practices with global standards
Partner with international stakeholders and executive leadership
Translate global strategy into practical local execution
Support organisational design and growth initiatives
Stakeholder Management
Engage and influence senior stakeholders including C-suite
Simplify HR processes and communication across global teams
Operate with a high degree of autonomy
Additional Information
Workforce of approximately 300 employees across hybrid remote and on-site environments
Reports into an international Chief People Officer
Two-stage interview process with final interaction with global leadership
Structured handover in place
