Job Summary
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced AWS Security Specialist to design implement and manage cloud security controls across AWS environments. This role focuses on ensuring the confidentiality integrity and availability of cloud-based systems while aligning with security best practices and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement security controls within Amazon Web Services environments.
Manage identity and access controls using IAM roles policies and best practices.
Monitor and respond to security incidents using AWS security tools.
Implement and manage services such as GuardDuty Security Hub Shield and WAF.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and ensure timely remediation.
Ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulatory standards.
Perform security audits risk assessments and threat analysis.
Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
Maintain security documentation policies and procedures.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT Cybersecurity or related field.
48 years of experience in cloud security or cybersecurity roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services security services.
Deep understanding of IAM network security encryption and cloud architecture.
Experience with security monitoring and incident response.
Familiarity with compliance standards (ISO 27001 NIST CIS benchmarks).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
AWS Security certifications (e.g. Security Specialty).
Experience with SIEM tools and threat detection platforms.
Knowledge of container security (Docker Kubernetes).
Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
Understanding of DevSecOps practices.
