Sentara Health is hiring an experienced Sr. Laboratory Scientist to work full days in the Point of Care Department at Sentara Norfolk General.
*This position would require travel to multiple sites in the system
Generous Sign on Bonus up to $20000 for qualified candidates!
As a Sr. Laboratory Scientist duties are to perform laboratory testing and interpret test results using scientific knowledge and principles of test procedures and disease processes; recommends contingency testing. Directly responsible for developing maintaining and managing daily technical operations including staff training and education implementation of instrumentation and accreditation readiness.
Education
Bachelors in medical technology or Biology/Chemical Science
Certification/Licensure
ASCP or AMT certification
Experience
3 year of laboratory tech experience (required)
