Job Description:

Our CampCouncilorswill work with the ProgramsTeamto plan and implement outdoor programs and summer camps for youth ages6-12. Thisjobwill provide experience in program development environmental education and outdoor recreation while working alongside experienced staff members.

Primary Responsibilities:

Program Support

  • Assistin planning organizing and delivering outdoor programs for youth including camps.

  • Facilitatehands-on learning experiences such as nature crafts wildlife observation and outdoor skills training.

Youth Engagement

  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for program participants.

  • Lead small groups of children through activities ensuringsafetyand encouraging participation.

  • Foster a connection to nature.

Safety and Supervision

  • Monitor youth participants to ensure their safety and adherence to program guidelines.

  • Assistin managing outdoor risks andmaintaininga safe environment during activities.

Program Preparation and Maintenance

  • Set up andclean-upprogram materials and spaces before and after activities.

  • Maintainand organize outdoor equipment and supplies.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with team members to execute programs effectively

  • Communicate with parents/guardians about program details participant needs and updates.

Learning and Development

  • Observeand contribute ideas for enhancing program quality and participant experience.

OtherDuties

  • Performother tasks as assigned to support the goals of the youth outdoor programs.

Qualifications:

  • Enthusiasm for working with youth and theoutdoors

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of ateam

  • Comfortable working in a variety of outdoor environments and weather conditions

  • Must be at least 16 yearsold

  • Must be available to work the following weeks

  • June1st5th

  • June15th19th

  • July13th 17th

  • July 20t 24th

  • Ability to worksomeevenings and weekends
