Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION: To assist professional staff members by performing a variety of tasks related to the operation of classrooms or other instructional areas.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card. Two years or more of study at an accredited institution of higher education as evidenced by 60 credit hours an associates (or higher) degree or passing an academic assessment test in the areas of reading writing and mathematics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize published scientifically research-based programs and conduct effective individual and small group intervention lessons to accelerate student learning under the supervision of the teacher.
- Assist in preparing instructional materials for the planned tutoring sessions.
- Administer appropriate pre/post assessments and frequently progress monitor in order to determine academic growth.
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher to ensure alignment between classroom instruction and tutoring sessions.
- Support the site-level improvement plan by attending and participating in professional development and training sessions as directed.
- Maintain appropriate student records and documentation.
- Assist in supervising students under the supervision of a district-certified staff member.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
SALARY: Part-time nine-month position; beginning salary Level 26; employee benefits in accordance with Board Policies.
EVALUATION: Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy on the evaluation of support personnel.
