Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic Medical/Surgical unit with a focus on oncology step-down care and high-acuity sickle cell patients. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience excellent patient care skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient-centered nursing care to Medical/Surgical patients.
- Manage and monitor patients with oncology step-down and complex medical conditions.
- Administer medications treatments and IV therapies in accordance with established protocols.
- Assess patient conditions develop care plans and evaluate outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific requirements apply)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical/Surgical or similar acute care setting
- Experience with oncology and step-down patients preferred
- Chemotherapy certification preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
