Qualifications
Charlotte Latin School is seeking a creative flexible and energetic teacher to join our Upper School Mathematics faculty full-time in the 2026-2027 academic year. This position is well-suited for motivated professionals who appreciate the freedom to teach unique math courses at the Advanced Placement honors standard and elective levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach 4-5 sections of Mathematics
- Partner with colleagues to create and update course curriculum
- Assess students performance in a timely and consistent manner
- Within course teams collaborate with colleagues toward consistency in grading practices
- Provide 1:1 support to students during office hours before and after school
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current within the field
- Additional responsibilities may include sponsoring extra-curricular activities advising and/or coaching.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics/Mathematics Education is required; masters or doctoral degrees are highly preferred.
- Experience in an Independent School is preferred

- Experience in and willingness to teach all levels of high school math courses

Working Conditions and Environment
- Intermittently lift carry push and pull up to 25 pounds.
- Continuously see sit balance grasp and have repetitive use of arms wrists hands and fingers; and some fine finger dexterity.
- Frequently talk and hear.
- Intermittently stand stoop bend twist crouch kneel crawl walk climb stairs step stools and ladders operate foot and hand controls squeeze and reach above shoulders.
- Exposure to dust chemicals fumes flammables grease dirt stacked materials electrical equipment machinery low to medium noise levels and moderate indoor temperatures of heat and cold.
