Job Summary
Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Learning Disability Team at Somerset.
Responsibleforacaseloadofvaryingcomplexitycommensuratewithabilityand qualifications receiving and responding to referrals from various sources.
Responsibilities:
- CommunityCareintegratedcareprogrammeapproachandriskassessmenttowork to protect the safety and protection of individuals.
- Statutoryreviewsandcomplywithappropriatelegislationpolicyandprocedures.
- Assessclientneedsinconsultationwiththemandwithotherprofessionalsandagree levels of support.
- Theneedtoengagewith peoplerefusingaservicewho areat risktoselfor others.
- Theneedforsensitivenegotiationwhenassessingserviceusersandcarerswhere there is conflict or lack of insight.
- Effectivelymanagepeoplepresentingincrisisneedingaquickresolutionusing relevant legislation and resources.
- Statutoryresponsibilityfortheassessmentofcarers(includingyoungcarers)needs and the formulation of a carers care pl
Requirements:
- Professional Qualification:A recognised professional qualification in social work such as an MA BA BSc in Social Work Diploma in Social Work or CQSW (Certificate of Qualification in Social Work).
- Registration:Must be registered with Social Work England the regulatory body for social workers in England.
- Experience:2 years post qualified experience as an adult social worker in a statutory setting.
- Knowledge of Legislation:Thorough understanding of relevant legislation such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Skills:Strong assessment and analysis skills as well as the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Driving Licence:A full UK driving licence and access to a car are often required for client visits.
