Job Summary

We are working closely with Birmingham Childrens Trust to assist with the appointment of a Qualified Social Worker on a 3-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 20.04 - 27.55 per hour

Summary:

An opportunity for a Social Worker to support children with disabilities and their families ensuring their safety wellbeing and development. The role involves managing a caseload completing assessments and working closely with families and partner agencies to deliver positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people
  • Carry out assessments and develop care/support plans
  • Safeguard children and promote their wellbeing
  • Work with families carers and multi-agency partners
  • Attend and contribute to meetings reviews and case planning

Qualifications:

  • Social Work degree (or equivalent)

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work and completion of ASYE
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE)
  • Experience working with children and families
  • Strong assessment communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
