About the role:
We are currently inviting Expressions of Interest from mid-level and senior Project Managers with contractor-side experience delivering complex utilities infrastructure projects across Australias eastern states (NSW VIC & QLD).
With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects commencing over the next 36 months we are proactively building our delivery teams to support critical energy and utilities infrastructure works.
Our highest preference is for Project Managers with proven experience delivering High Voltage Transmission Line projects across both Greenfield and Brownfield environments.
This is followed by experience delivering other High Voltage projects with further consideration given to Project Managers who have led large-scale complex utilities projects of similar technical commercial and risk profile.
These opportunities will suit Project Managers who are comfortable operating in contractor-led environments managing multidisciplinary teams subcontractors and stakeholders to safely deliver complex infrastructure outcomes.
This Expression of Interest is intended to support multiple upcoming roles across the eastern states as projects move into delivery over the coming months.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the safe and successful delivery of complex utilities projects including High Voltage Transmission Line and HV Substation projects across Greenfield and Brownfield environments
- Championing a strong safetyfirst culture consistently driving excellent Health Safety and Environmental outcomes and achieving TRIFR and lead indicator targets
- Building developing and maintaining highperforming project teams including employees subcontractors and delivery partners
- Ensuring projects are being delivered in strict accordance with Zinfras Project Delivery System governance requirements policies and procedures
- Taking accountability for commercial performance including cost control forecasting margin protection and driving ongoing efficiency and improvement initiatives
- Proactively identifying managing and mitigating commercial contractual and operational risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Managing and influencing key internal and external stakeholders including clients asset owners authorities joint venture partners and suppliers
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable OHS quality and environmental legislation codes of practice standards regulations and Zinfra management systems
- Providing deliveryfocused input into estimating and tendering activities including construction methodologies resourcing strategies and risk reviews
- Contributing to the development of organisational capability through coaching mentoring and performance management of team members
- Supporting the delivery of portfolio objectives while aligning project outcomes to Zinfras broader business strategy and growth objectives
About you:
To be considered for interview applications should clearly outline relevant trade or engineering qualifications and/or a Diploma or Certificate IV in Project Management (or equivalent).
Applications should also demonstrate:
- Proven experience and understanding of the High Voltage electrical utility sector including design procurement and construction activities
- Strong project and/or program management experience with a track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects
- Experience managing engineering procurement and construction teams contractors and subcontractors within a contractor-led environment
- Capability in developing mentoring and leading project teams while partnering effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
- Extensive experience managing risk scope cost and schedule across multiple substantial Greenfield and Brownfield projects including HV transmission and/or substation works
- Demonstrated ability to build manage and sustain highperforming outcomesfocused teams that deliver safely commercially and in line with client expectations
