What does Councils Mentoring and Development Program involve
Mentoring is an initiative that provides participants (both the mentors and mentees) with the opportunity to share knowledge skills and life experience that will assist them in reaching their full potential both personally and professionally in their roles.
An extensive workbook is tailored for the program and beyond. We invite inspiring guest speakers for three of our live workshops and create the opportunity for peer review and networking.
The program encourages an Evolve community encouraging people to engage with one another throughout the experience. With Evolve you also receive additional resources and support which helps solidify the learnings of the program and future development as well as forming long term connections with peers.
Councils Mentoring and Development Program will focus on a few key areas including:
- Understanding your values and goal setting
- Understanding emotional intelligence and strengths
- Developing personal brand for career planning
- Improving leadership capabilities
- Strengthening communication skills
This program is well suited for staff that would like to focus on building self-awareness and self-leadership capability as a foundation for future growth and contribution within the organisation.
The managers of successful mentees will receive an email to explain the Evolve program and can view an introductory video (or live in person session). Managers will also receive update emails throughout the program so that they can provide the best support to you during the program.
