What Youll Do

The Project General Professional position is responsible for supporting project management operations. Works with management and project teams to develop project management metrics/key performance indicators. Uses software to track and provide reporting on metrics/key performance indicators. Responds to internal and external customer inquiries concerning performance reports and project data. Prepares status reports and other administrative analysis reports. Assists in preparing/reviewing various project documents including presentations project plans schedules monthly reports etc. Works with other organizations to gather data for metrics status reporting and performance tracking. Assists in identifying and implementing performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include:
Performs a variety of activities in support of functional areas for Project Management.
Administers Project Document Control Software.
Is trained in and is able to conduct training on the use of the Project Document Control software.
Coordinates with Projects Engineering Procurement and suppliers to ensure workflows are accurately implemented in the software.
Identifies software needs and bugs and coordinates their resolution with the software developer.
Publishes reports memos form letters and other material from notes reference copy and instructions.
Gathers collects records tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources.
Compiles reviews and analyzes data. Uses software to compile and generate reports statistics timelines tables graphs correspondence and presentations.
May design processes to enhance work flow.
Provides data and information to others on processes and procedures.
Provides routine administrative support including scheduling meetings preparing correspondence filing etc. for all Project Departments. Requires a broad working knowledge of departmental and and company policies and practices.
Generate maintain and publish Project metrics and charts.
Analyzes cycle retention times and workflows to provide recommendations to Pantex management to be used for process optimization.
Complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • OR Masters Degree
  • Note: Applicants without a Bachelors Degree may be considered based on a combination of 8 or more years of completed education and/or relevant experience.

  • Bachelors Degree with: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of Project process in multi-discipline Project operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Project processes with ability to work in team environments with little supervision.
  • Requires a broad working knowledge of departmental and company policies and practices.
  • Requires ability to perform efficiently in a diverse fast-paced environment.
  • Requires expertise in System Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) Microsoft Office SharePoint PeopleSoft PowerPoint Adobe etc.

The minimum education and experience for the lowest career level in the job posting range are listed under Minimum Job Requirements. Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph pursuant to 10 CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
