Job Summary
COMPUTING AND VIRTUALIZATION SPECIALIST (HYBRID LISBON)
Portuguese company hires for hybrid position
Location: LisbonPortugal
Only candidates already basedin Portugal will be considered
Work Model: Hybrid approximately 60% remote / 40% on-site
Language Requirements:Portuguese Fluent (mandatory) English B2 (mandatory)

Key Responsibilities
- Design and evolve virtualization architectures
- Define and implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity strategies
- Validate and assess new hypervisors and technologies
- Identify optimization and modernization opportunities in infrastructure
- Support RFI/RFP processes and vendor selection/validation
- Manage capacity planning for on-premise Cloud platforms
- Contribute to software licensing and budgeting strategies
Must-Have Skills
- Strong knowledge of on-premise Cloud architecture
- Experience in complex problem-solving and technical project oversight
- Solid expertise in VMware vSphere architecture
- Administration of Operating Systems: RHEL-based Linux Ubuntu Windows Server
- Strong understanding of hardware systems (servers storage switching)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
Nice to Have
- Experience with KVM and Kubernetes architectures
- Scripting skills (Bash Python)
- Automation tools (Terraform Ansible)
- DevOps practices (Git CI/CD pipelines)
- Observability platforms (Prometheus Grafana)
