JOB SUMMARY | Academic Resource Center Coordinators play a key role in overseeing the peer tutors and academic coaches. The essential duties include mentoring tutoring staff members evaluating peers and assisting in planning ARC events. Must be a current or former ARC Tutor |
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES | ARC tutors must be able to hold set hours a week of drop-in and appointment-based tutoring. They will uphold the mission of the ARC which promotes student learning and academic excellence by providing opportunities to increase and improve achievement and performance. ARC Tutor Coordinators will plan and create training programs and development opportunities for staff and interact frequently with faculty staff and administration. |
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS | Strong communication and problem-solving skills Friendly and student-centered Able to work with a diverse group of people Punctual reliable professional flexible and organized Demonstrates strong study skills Familiarity with department/office procedures Strong leadership presentation and event-planning skills Must be a current or former ARC Tutor |
