The Lab Support Technician responsibilities include:
- Manage external customer/Non-Globe registration and support in ordering using Commercial Portal.
- Generating quotes for analytical service (external customers).
- Issuance of analytical reports.
- Managing incoming calls and customer service inquiries.
- Provides coordination for administrative for NQAC (meeting visitors website).
- Provides administration and secretarial support to maintain office and pantry supplies.
- Fixed asset management for NQAC (Registration tracking updates and disposal)
- Manage of and contact point for NQAC facilities.
- Support in documentation system maintenance and updates
A day in the life of a Lab Support Technician...
- ISO reports issued timely.
- Updated Pricelist for NQAC Singapore
- Organize staff meetings workshops and other events
- Assist in Sample Handling likeHandling of incoming parcels of samples for laboratory analysis. Assist in sample grinding and sample transferring where needed.
- Assist in Procurement: Request for quotation generate PR follow up on PO and order status GR in system
- Accept delivery of items stocks keeping and storage
- Consumable management planning and inventory of AMM items
- Ensure smooth procurement of consumables/office supplies needed in the section in accordance with compliance to standards.
- Timely responding to customers emails and follow up on sample enquiries.
- Identifying and assessing customers needs to achieve satisfaction.
- Conduct behaviour base safety observation (BBSO) and taking part in assigned safety activities.
- Ensure compliance to safe working environment.
- Actively involved in activities of Safety Quality Management Goal Alignment which means being representative of the section in such activities.
- Takes part in operational reviews (Daily Operation Review) and other elements such as root cause analysis standard routine order to continuously improve the quality system and the operational output (e.g. reporting and troubleshooting any deviation and abnormal results).
- Ensure all equipment are properly maintained.
- Fixed asset registration inventory and disposal
- Regularly perform 5S
- Assist lean improvement projects/initiatives that aim to improve cost labor hour and workflow.
- Extends skills and competencies according to sections needs.
What Will Make You Successful...
Skills
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft apps and SAP or LIMS
- Able to multitask with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Diploma in Chemistry Food Science Analytical Science or any science related field with preference in administration
Knowledge
- Graduates (preferably with laboratory internship experience or related work experience)
- Experience in SAP knowledge of Quality System and GLP will be of added advantage
