What you will do
CNET (Centre for New Energy Technologies) the EDP Groups Research & Development (R&D) center is strengthening its Power Systems R&D area through the recruitment of a R&D Project Engineer Power Systems.
In this role you will:
- Participate in and/or lead international R&D projects in the field of Power Systems
- Manage different phases of project implementation including budget control technical and financial reporting stakeholder interaction and communication of results
- Develop technical outputs such as system architectures specifications use cases and project documentation
- Conduct laboratory activities and support pilot and demonstrator validation including coordination with field teams
- Contribute to the development of techno-economic analyses business cases and innovative business models
- Support the preparation and submission of proposals for international R&D funding (e.g. European programs) including consortium building and budget negotiation
- Develop innovative tools and solutions to be applied in European projects consultancy services and internal business units
- Contribute to the evolution and strategic positioning of the Power Systems area within the EDP Group
- Support international engineering consultancy and service delivery activities

What are we looking for
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in relevant roles
- Degree (Master or PhD preferred) in Electrical Engineering (Energy specialization preferred) or related fields such as Physics Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or Energy & Environmental Engineering
- Knowledge and/or experience in Power Systems and energy-related domains such as:
- Smart Grids and Microgrids
- Integration of Renewable Energy
- Modern Power Systems and Resilience
- Energy Management Systems
- Energy Storage
- Electric Vehicles Grid Integration
- Experience or strong knowledge of modern Power Systems is highly valued
- International mindset with fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver rigorous results within deadlines
- Flexibility and agility to work across multiple projects and topics
- Strong team spirit and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Good command of Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word PowerPoint)
- Availability for short-term international travel
